Best Spots to Moon Gazing in Singapore During Mooncake Festival

One of the best-kept secrets of the mid-autumn festival is not only that we get to eat delicious Michelin-listed hotel moon cakes but also the time that we get to spend with our family and friends. Yes, it may seem that there is a strict no gathering rule in Singapore but as Fievel once said… we are under the same night sky. Here are some of the best spots that we have listed for Moon Gazing in Singapore and spotting the full harvest moon this Friday on 2nd October.

Experience the view on the Royal Albatross

What better than to gaze into the night sky on board a sailing ship? Come on board this critically acclaimed tall ship and enjoy dinner as you sail along the Sentosa Coastline. The tall Masts provide an unblocked view into the Sky on the way back to RWS. Be sure to book early to not be disappointed as tickets are selling fast.

Changi Boardwalk

Here is one of Singapore’s most popular spots for moongazing. Be sure to be there early to reserve a spot as it is sure to get crowded quite fast. You can bring your picnic mat and have a stunning view of the Changi Coastline on one of the six distinct sections of the Changi Point Coastal Walk. Need help getting there? It’s at 7A Gosport Road, Singapore 509710.

Labrador Nature Reserve

Right by the sea, this is a great way to enjoy the picturesque night sky. If it is too bright you can also head over to the Labrador Park Boardwalk. This place has an interesting history with spooky tales. But this evening during the mooncake festival the lights that you see will probably be more lanterns than lingering spirits. You can find the Labrador Nature Reserve at Labrador Villa Road, Singapore 119187

Well, that’s it for now. Yes, the best spots are by the sea and it doesn’t get any better than getting a boat out into the open sea and soak in the views. We look forward to welcoming you onboard the Royal Albatross this Mooncake Festival.
